Speculating on the future of tourism in the Alps the project proposes a future-proof reimagining of the ski resort.

Here, the usual facilities are paired with rewilding functions, landscape steward training school, an extensive tree nursery, apart-allotments, and new headquarters for the Alpine Convention’s efforts to rewild the region. Here, every space in the resort has a dual purpose, with the aim of returning the surrounding area to wilderness over the course of 20 years and reconnecting habitats fragmented by the destructive effects of the ski tourism industry.

The resort acts as a test-bed for other resorts in the area - an experiment to gradually phase out of mass ski-tourism in the Alps. The project used a series of characters and seasonal timelines to tell a complex narrative.
